Welcome to our story! We are the founders of the Migdalii Cireșari orchard and the creators of the Migdale Românești family brand. Since 2015, we have been dividing our lives between Bucharest, where we raise our family, and life in the countryside, where we cultivate with dedication the largest almond orchard in Romania.
The Cireșari Almond Orchard covers 40 hectares in the village of Sârbeni, Teleorman County, just an hour and a half from the hustle and bustle of the capital. Here, our almonds are cultivated with patience and respect for the principles of organic farming. This means that we do not use pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers , letting nature take its natural course. The quality and authenticity of our almonds are confirmed by the organic certification obtained from SRAC CERT SRL, a body accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture.
We set out on this journey aware of the unique challenges of almond cultivation in Romania and without any experience in agriculture. Although almonds bloom sporadically in various gardens in Prahova, in nurseries in Aiud and in fruit research stations, their large-scale cultivation remains a rarity. The early flowering of almonds exposes them to late spring frosts, an increasingly frequent and intense phenomenon in the context of climate change.
Through Migdalii Cireșari we aim to contribute to promoting almond culture in Romania and to demonstrate that, through dedication, innovation and respect for nature, we can develop exceptional products right here, in the country.
We invite you to discover the authentic taste of Romanian almonds, grown with care for the environment and your health.
Choose to consume locally and support Romanian organic agriculture!
